A large number of Haslemere Society members and guests flocked to Undershaw, in Hindhead, now home of Stepping Stones Upper School, to enjoy conversation, canapés,wine, and hear music from the Chiddingfold Flute Group in the beautifully restored house originally built and lived in by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
The Haslemere Society is rightly proud of its actions and the support of its members in its help with the long fight to get permission to turn the ruinous building into a school for young people, all employable, but needing special help along the way.
