HOW TO - Protect an Individual tree (based on the Georgian High Street Tree)
Use Google maps and find the tree you wish to protect (with a TPO) from above - use the Satellite mode. Click on the aerial view of the tree as accurately as possible. Under the position two long numbers appear which gives the Map Co-ordinates. Copy long reference numbers 51.088895, -0.708881 (As in the image)

HOW TO - Protect a Group of Trees - The same applies to any row of trees, it just requires the start and stop points
Use Google maps and find the trees you wish to protect (with a TPO) from above - use the Satellite mode.
Click on the aerial view of the trees as accurately as possible.
Under the position two long numbers appear which gives the Map Co-ordinates.
Copy long reference numbers at start of row to the end of the row.

- Record the types of Tree (Oak, Ash, Beech, Birch, Sycamore etc); special features (birds, bats etc) and location (field, road, garden etc).
- Take a snapshot of the trees from the side (or take a real Photo). Add an indicator of the required trees if they are not obvious.
- If the tree is on a road click on the little yellow man to get a Street View (road shows in Blue if available)
